North Georgia Breweries
Looking for a place to grab a cold one with friends? Look no further! North Georgia has no shortage of great places to grab a local beer and spend time with friends. Here are a few of our favorites as well as a few we're looking forward to trying.
NoFo Brew Co (Cumming)
The atmosphere here is so great. It's seriously the perfect amount of chill and fun mixed into one. They do trivia nights, music bingo and live music. They also have a place inside to watch whatever game is on or you can hang outside where they have lights strung up and a fenced in area that is great if you have kids or dogs. Bonus if you have a group going and can get there early to score the fire put area! They also have food trucks that alternate, so be sure to check their Instagram schedule to see what will be there when you plan to go.
Tantrum Brewing (Cleveland)
Tantrum is similar to NoFo when it comes to the environment and the food trucks. I love Tantrum's Poems at Midnight, it is my favorite sour beer TO DATE. I also love that there is so many other things to do when you go up to Tantrum. It's in Cleveland, so you could make a day out of this trip and it is always a blast.
Reformation Brewery (Woodstock + Canton + Smyrna)
I have only been to the one in Canton, but it's in the perfect location. It's located in The Mill on Etowah and there is also lots of shopping and restaurants around. Definitely a top date night contender! Would also be really fun for a girls night or boys night out.
Cherry Street Brewing ( Cumming + Alpharetta)
We usually go to the Cherry Street at Halcyon, which is a whole date night or family night vibe of it's own. The beer is great, the food is great and it's always one of our favorite places to escape to for a fun night out. Bonus you can grab a beer and walk around Halcyon!
Jekyll Brewing (Alpharetta)
This one is similar to Cherry Street, in the sense that they have their own restaurant and the food IS GOOOD! So if you're looking for a one stop shop, this would be a great place to grab a beer and dinner and then walk around down town Alpharetta, which is absolutely CHARMING!
We also have a few more places on our to visit list, that we can't necessarily speak to yet, but have heard great things about and are dying to try them out!
Dahlonega Brewery (Dahlonega)
Fannin Brewing (Blue Ridge)
Etowah Meadery (Dahlonega)
