North GA Date Night Ideas

We don't often get date nights, but when we do we take advantage of it by hitting up our favorite spots in the area! North Georgia has tons of date night options that I will highlight throughout the month of November, but these are our top 10 favorite date night ideas.

  1. Nofo Brew Co. (Cumming)- This is a super chill spot to just grab a beer and hang out. I love that there are options to sit indoor, or outside by the fire. The strung up lights outside make the perfect touch when sitting outside. They always have the games playing on tv, and there is usually a different food truck there each evening. They have fun activities like music bingo and trivia nights on Wednesdays and Thursdays and live music some nights as well.

  2. Top Golf (Alpharetta/ Atlanta/ Buford)- Personally, I love Topgolf, even as a female. It's not like regular golf, its more like hard core putt putt, depending on how you want to play. We usually do this as a friend group/ double date nights, but it would be just as fun as a single date night. I love the environment there. They have heaters for when it is cold outside. I also really like the fact that you can order food and drinks there.

  3. Halcyon (Alpharetta)- The atmosphere here is AMAZING! I love that there is shopping, food, drinks AND usually some type of entertainment. There is a common chill area in the middle of everything and you are allowed to grab a drink and walk around with it. Also, if you are there be sure to check out Kilwins or the Popbar for a sweet treat. YUM!

  4. The Battery/ Truist Park (Atlanta)- So we are obviously HUGE Braves fans, so going to a game is always one of our favorite date nights, but you could make a date night out of just The Battery (even when the Braves are not playing). There is so much shopping and yummy food!

  5. Freedom Mill (Cumming)- This place has axe throwing and a gun range. Sometimes we like to switch up our typical date night and have a little fun. This is the perfect way to do that.

  6. Downtown Dahlonega- Downtown Dahlonega in my opinion is one of the most underrated cities. It is so cute and there are some of the best restaurants out there. Definitely a go to if you're tired of all the chain restaurants you may find around Dawsonville or Cumming. I'll make another post to my favorite Dahlonega restaurants, but our GO TO is usually Shenanigans! It's the best little Irish Pub. Then we usually just walk the Dahlonega square. If you haven't been around Christmas time it is a MUST!

  7. North GA Wineries (Dahlonega/ Cleveland)- This is another I will have to do an entire blog post on, because there is A LOT. But our go to winery spot is Kaya Vineyards. The wine is fabulous and the views are amazing. They also carry our favorite sour beer (Poems at Midnight) from Tantrum Brewing (another really cool spot I'll highlight with some of our favorite breweries).

  8. Indian Seats at Sawnee Mountain Preserve (Cumming)- TALK ABOUT VIEWS! The Indian Seats have hands down the best views in Cumming. The hike (I say that loosely because it can absolutely be done in regular shoes- just not heels) is not bad at all. It's maybe a little over a mile up to the top. We love to pack a little picnic and head to the top to just sit and chat. It also makes for some of the most beautiful photos. It's a must see if you are local to the area.

  9. The Mill on Etowah (Canton)- We've only been once so far but there was seriously soooo much to do. I would compare it to Halcyon but a little bit different of an atmosphere. It's great for if you want to be able to grab a drink, walk around, hang out, shop etc. without having to drive more than one place. There is so much around you that is all walking distance. We could easily spend a few hours there.

  10. Chasing Mountain Views and Waterfalls- We love adventuring to new places around North GA and are suckers for pretty views. If you're interested in a list of must see mountain and waterfall scenery, let me know and I will add that as a blog post of it's own.
